Abstract

Literacy can be understood as a person's ability to read and write. Literacy mastery is an important indicator to improve the achievements of the younger generation in achieving success. Instilling literacy as early as possible must be realized because it is the main capital in realizing an intelligent and cultured nation. Socialization regarding the importance of literacy at SDN 01 Karangpucung is expected to be able to foster interest in reading and writing for the younger generation of Indonesia. Train in communicating well, politely and in an organized manner. So that in this case the mindset or thought patterns of students will also progress and develop. This socialization is also considered very important because considering the condition of our country, where the younger generation is currently very active in using gadgets and surfing the internet, while reading habits are starting to decrease. Even from the results of research in 2021 by the Language Development and Fostering Agency, Hafidz explained "Indonesia is experiencing a literacy emergency."
