In an increasingly dynamic and uncertain business environment, making the right strategic decisions is a key factor for company success. Decision theory offers a comprehensive framework to assist decision makers in dealing with uncertainty and optimizing the outcomes of their strategic decisions. This research aims to explore the application of decision theory in strategic decision making in companies and presents a framework that can be used practically. This framework includes identification and analysis of decision alternatives, assessment of risk and uncertainty, as well as integration of various criteria and stakeholder preferences in the decision-making process. We will also discuss examples of applying this framework in various strategic decision-making situations, such as business expansion, mergers and acquisitions, and new product introductions.
